Silly Billy

A poem about a guy in search of a girl. This is for a contest whereby only words with no more than five letters may be used.

Silly Billy

 

Silly Billy rode to town

on his tiny pony

for a girl whom he may crown

as his one and only.

 

Round and round and up and down,

every girl was phony.

When they saw him they would frown,

none would be his crony

 

till he met this funny clown

who was thin and bony.

She had a charm that could drown

his world that was stony.

For most Americans, English is that language that's only spoken using four letter words that no dictionary would ever dare to print. My poem is a "cool" test!

Yankee Doodle went to town
riding on a pony

I was thinking baloney, I swear to you I was. lol

Yes, I feel sure that eveyone was thinking "baloney", but "baloney" would have made this an X rated poem and that would be nasty. Also "baloney" has more than five letters.
