Is this the serpent of Biblical prophecy or the mythical dragon? Maybe it is every reptile on the face of the earth?
The world is full of mystical affects we can observe representing commonalities of truth.
I like the brevity and sing song write with a deeper meaning tucked inside.

Reptiles existed on Earth much longer than humans, and they shall most likely still be here after we've gone into extinction. In that case, it will be intelligent reptiles who'll be digging up our fossil remains to be hung in museums for their reptilian children to point and laugh at. Those radioactive Humanosaurus Rex fossils from the “Great Extinction” dug up just above the Dodo fossils shall glow in the dark.

Most snakes are peaceful and responsible members of the Earth's ecology. Without them the Earth’s biosphere would suffer, and we would suffer too. Every animal has its place.
As I started to browse throuh some of your writings I realised I had already reviewed some (Dang!) so I am here now uncharted territory . And as I usually do I turn my switch my "thinking button" and off!. What hits me straight is that ability to put a concept in very few lines as this images are laoded with meaning. Knowledge is hard to balance as used the wrong way ..... I know I dont have to give examples but if knowledge had wings? I guess it will metamorphose onto imagination. And I guess the melancholy of ideas that don't come to fruition is endearing. The part were the snake is actually seduced, What an irony.
I hope that the higher worlds might give the snake solace
Thankyou

I never try to write a poem as I just jot them down when the overwhelming impulse to do so comes upon me. Poems come to me as flying fish jumping out of the deep blue sea of my subconscious mind. We must have empathy even for those who may not have empathy for us, even snakes.
We all get tempted by things we can't reach.
nice poem.

Wow this piece was brilliant. I love the different contrasts of this poem. It plays light and dark very well. Amazing poem thank you for sharing!:)

Impressive poem. The snake, helpless and enthralled and unable to break free.
Nicely done.
