Blood Moon

Blood Moon

A Poem by Aethereal
"

The BLood Moon and the Snake.

"

Blood Moon

A snake hunting through the night

sees the Blood Moon up above

wishing he could take to flight

with the wings of a sweet dove.

He shall never get to bite

this prey that he’s dreaming of

though he’s tempted by that light

that all snakes are born to love.

Sometimes the snake is so single-minded that he can't be dissuaded from his regular hunt pattern even for a Blood Moon!

Very compellin write, the infinite circle cannot be broken, but there is a lot of temptation in the proccess. Loved it!

Is this the serpent of Biblical prophecy or the mythical dragon? Maybe it is every reptile on the face of the earth?
The world is full of mystical affects we can observe representing commonalities of truth.

I like the brevity and sing song write with a deeper meaning tucked inside.

As I started to browse throuh some of your writings I realised I had already reviewed some (Dang!) so I am here now uncharted territory . And as I usually do I turn my switch my "thinking button" and off!. What hits me straight is that ability to put a concept in very few lines as this images are laoded with meaning. Knowledge is hard to balance as used the wrong way ..... I know I dont have to give examples but if knowledge had wings? I guess it will metamorphose onto imagination. And I guess the melancholy of ideas that don't come to fruition is endearing. The part were the snake is actually seduced, What an irony.

I hope that the higher worlds might give the snake solace

Thankyou
