Feels like an apocalypse to me. The second stanza made me think of the state of mankind these days and if I was the sun, I'd be angry. You are one of the few poets I've read here that can keep inside a rhythmic scale and it is still a pleasure to read by the way. An excellent poem.

My interpretation: you've lost love, your heart has turned cold as ice, hard as stone
You need a warm companion to make you feel, see and smell again.
I may be way off, isn't it great if I am though?
That's called inspiration. :)

Angry Sun
.
Then comes eternal night
with frozen pangs,
and X-ray beams that bite
with photon fangs.
Things change, they die, they move or are petrified. The world is filled with obstacles and we must always watch where we are going and make the best of it all.

Thanks for your insightful review, blue! New growth takes place above Petrified Forests.
I like this! I feel like it could relate to more things than just an apocalypse of the physical world as well; metaphorically speaking, or course

This could also be a bad LSD trip, or nightmare where one appears to be melting along with ones environment. This is what’s always happening to everything within our universe, but in slow motion. If time accelerated, all would appear as blending colors. Consciousness is slow motion perception, an illusion of stability within Pandemonium.

A very vivid poem. You did a fantastic job on this.
I would hate for this situation to become real.

Astronomers say that our sun should be stable for another hundred million years, but we never know what may come in from outside of our solar system slamming into our sun to interfere with its nuclear chemistry. Just a small dense fragment from a Neutron Star that broke up eons ago could destroy our sun in a matter of hours. Our universe plays a billiard game on a massive scale.
something i sense here about the ozone maybe...we have a knack for destroying the beauty of nature.
quite the scene painted with your words.
