Island Paradise (Rondeau)

Island Paradise (Rondeau)

A Poem by Aethereal
"

A Rondeau about an island paradise.

"

Island Paradise  (Rondeau)

Sing a sunny song for me

near the rocks beside the quay

underneath the cresting spray

where small crabs and turtles stray

as they craw up from the sea.

In the shade of a palm tree,

I’ll serve tea with poetry

where shy native children play.

Sing a sunny song.

May our island fantasy

be a paradise for thee

where you’re blessed by every ray

that the sun and moon display

as cool trade winds blow carefree.

Sing a sunny song.

Hi Aethereal,
your singing my song... wonderful imagery and very timely, as the cold westerly winds have just arrived on my shores... maybe it's time to head north and find one of these islands?
You set this Rondaeu perfectly with the view and feel of being there... so you'll be the one tucked up under a palm tree, strumming your guitar and singing your words?
I think you might have a few takers for such a wonderful invitation to your Island Paradise... well penned my friend... JJ.

Thanks for your detailed review, Jumbo J! Find that island, and sing a sunny song.

May our island fantasy
be a paradise for thee
where you’re blessed by every ray
that the sun and moon display
as cool trade winds blow carefree.
Sing a sunny song.

Take me with you. Loved this little island escape.
