A little poem about a perfect day.

Perfect Day

 

Pirouetting honeybee

bend your little inky knee,

bow low to that cherry tree

on the first of May. Hey!

 

Spiders spinning fancy-free

webs that build a fantasy

catch a nit, a fly, a flea

who has gone astray. Hey!

 

Robins what do you foresee?

Do you have a guarantee

of worms, maybe two or three,

as you look for prey? Hey!

 

Puffy cloud move close to me.

Do you know to what degree

I’m part of your pedigree

on this perfect day? Hey!
