Sometimes I place some grain and nuts out for them just to see them play about the food. They fun to watch in the Fall when they gather acorns from under my oak trees.

All we get here are birds and cats in the city. And even in the country, the kangaroos just lie around and doze in the sun. No playing here. :(
Simple minded creatures sometimes live their lives at the fullest when they have their priorities and focus in order and right perspective. Perhaps there is a direct link of how they live the way an ants conducts their business ...
I enjoyed this one Aethereal ....So much life lesson ...

There are most likely super-intelligent alien beings in our galaxy who consider us to be simple minded creatures who conduct our business as ants do. To them, we’d just be a swarm of tiny nits clutching a wet rock afloat in the dark abyss. I’m sure that our egocentric nature would amuse them to no end.

wow I like to see deeper from your own perspective ...
And because you mentioned about the cute chipmunks, I am here to commend this clever piece again from you.
Simple creatures have simple ways of living and loving.
Brilliant!

E = MC**2: It took human beings thousands of years to discover this simple equation. Before then, all they had were millions of connected words signifying nothing, but hoping for everything, just so much wishful thinking. People are fooled into thinking that the more complex an explanation is the truer it is. Occam’s razor rules!
There's a message and a good one in this "music". Enjoyable read and so timely for the world we are now confronted with, getting crazier by the minute. A bright spot in my day.
hahaha ... you are a puzzle to me, Aethereal, you create such whimsical pieces that reflect such deep concepts, it makes me wonder how your mind works. You are simply a delight and I adore your work. Keep the light heart, deep thinker. ;)

very true, indeed, and that is what makes it so intriguing ;)
Wish I could be a chipmunk... so much simpler. I wonder if this is what the Captain & Tennille meant when they sang about "Muskrat Love"... :)

Someday if it’s not too late,
we’ll gain their benignity,
but if not, then we’ll negate
our right to ascendancy.
There is so much wisdom to be gained from nature as yo so smartly and humorously capture in this piece.
