Wild Card LoveA Poem by AetherealIt's about a broken relationship.Wild Card Love
Trying to forget your face,
all my rainbows turn to gray,
everyplace is just a place,
everyday is just a day.
"Make believe that I'm still blessed.
Be the object of my quest."
Wishing that I may erase
sweet lies that you used to say
won't revive your former grace.
Truth is such a burning ray.
"Try to put my lies to rest
lest you have an empty nest."
Pondering our last embrace
underneath your charming sway
as you made my pale heart race
makes me beg that you may stay.
"You'll forget that I'm a pest
as my paws explore your breast."
Survival in any case
drives me to send you away.
You're a Joker, not an Ace.
Find another love to play.
"When I'm wild, I'm at my best.
Tallyho! I chase for jest."
