You reminded me my summer. Well, i'm now wishing to be in summer... lol
Nice words, again you did a great job by your incredible thoughts. Your flow again seemed great here in this piece as well. I think last stanza's great and powerful.
Keep writing!

Very fine writing. It flows very well in a light way and the theme is splendid. The wording is well chosen for it; fits very nicely.

Since I was inspired by Shakespeare's Sonnet 18, I didn't want to disappoint Shakespeare either. I wonder if either John Donne or Milton will ever inspire me to write something as well?
being adept and prolific at rhyme , i can tell you that this is no easy task to achieve. i think you have done very well, and created an interesting and engaging read with you words...and some stark images emerge for the fruits of your efforts. an excellent write!

The only reason rhyme is no easy task to achieve is that serendipity can't be forced. I'm just as surprised as anyone else at what I've written after poems crystallize within my mind.
This is poetry at its best. I love the rhyme meter. I literally felt the heat rising as I read. Beautiful imagery. I personally recommend Times New Roman for this style of writing. It's a classic font that is well suited for a masterpieces. A+ material.
i am not a rhyme fan...but i like this poem a bunch...
i like the short tight lines...and the rhyming is done with flair and really good wording, really smart...
the theme is strong and somewhat satirical...the words never feel forced to feel the form...
excellent write...shakespeare would have been pleased with this...

I try to make my poems as close to natural English speech as possible. At other times in history, natural English speech was different such as in Chaucerian, Elizabethan, or Miltonian times. A poet has the right to flavor his poetry with beautiful speech gems from the past if they fit into the context of a poem.
