Fatale Attraction

Fatale Attraction

A Poem by Aethereal
"

A poems about a girl's obsession with Death.

"
Fatale Attraction

There's a place were lovers meet
under moonlit skies
at the end of Maple Street
where dark passions rise.

Here's were shadows play
dancing fancy free
on the edge of day.

Growing here from gray concrete
is a paradise,
a lush juvenile retreat
of trees of great size.

Underneath its sway
she would hear his plea,
she would be his prey.

At the end of Summer's heat,
she would socialize
every Autumn with this sweet
stranger in disguise,

but he wouldn't stay
as her fantasy
lest he had his way.

Seeking love that was complete
striving for the prize
Death became her goal, her treat.
She believed his lies.

Soon without delay
hanging from a tree
Death took her away.

Indeed, the human mind is a cavernous place !
Nicely penned in your own words about "Fatale Attraction"... Words're powerful once again. 100/100.

Heart broken and disulutioned, she took her life at the place where she fell in love. The person that enamoured her is pictured as not a good person.

A very dark poem. It shows how seductive death can be.
I enjoyed reading this tale of this girl's fall into darkness and
eventually to the ending of her life.

What a story. All the elements are there...passion, longing, love, and a not so happy ending. Bittersweet indeed. Perhaps this is only a metaphorical death, though, which I like to muse upon. Nicely done, I like the form.

Thanks, Marie! Well that's a third interpretation.
Interesting piece, and a great message, to those who suffer, on any kind of suicidal behaviour, or, to those who are just ill, and don't have much time left.... A very dark, but beautiful piece. It didn't scared me, at least, it gave me new visions! So sadly beautiful, and almost a forgotten pearl of the romantic times, where it could actually come thus to an end... Good work my friend.
