LibertyA Poem by AetherealA poem about the Lady Liberty within these trying times.Liberty
Tarnished copper shrine
of our nation state, you were meant to shine as our golden gate for the multitude.
You were our divine
freedom's magistrate nurturing the vine of our grapes of fate bringing plenitude.
Now you're just a sign
that we deprecate. Your pearls feed the swine. Virtues hold no weight. Evil men collude.
Now you're in decline,
lost your steadfast gait. Clever clandestine shackles subjugate us to servitude.
