~Creatures of the night~A Poem by AethelwyneIn the hollow of the night, When the
darkness grew so might And the
frαgrance of
despair filled the air, Purgatory
laments were sang to share The
torments of the moon's eternal slaves. In a
spell everlasting, olden their wit is now enshrined. In a
vicious, morbid dance are all entwined. To their
master's grievous calling they obey A praise
of blood that follows, seals their way. Iron
fetters their spirit violently confine, The
ancient curse no trails of light it leaves to shine. From
knights to killers at once they are transformed, Ominous
howlings from endless sorrow are being born. At the
crack of dawn their broken halves they find, Only to
realize their nights are made for crime... © 2017 Aethelwyne |
