The Move and New Friends

Seven months passed since the accident and Kareu is rather okay apart from his burns but he has moved once again and is living all the way in the north where it is colder by a bit good weather on his burns. Now he has grown out his hair to cover the burns on his face. He was transferred to a new school as he enters the school he goes to the principal's office to get directions to his class. When he enters the room he sees the principal looking at some papers with a coffee mug in his hand. Kareu whispers “Um… I...I’m the new student… and I was wondering… w- where my classroom is?”

The man looks at him giving him a map and says “You’ll be in class 2-a on the second floor.”

“Th-thank you” he whispers as he walks to his classroom.

When he arrives he knocks on the door very quietly as the teacher moves too the door remembering that there is a new student to introduce as he walks in the teacher says “Alright everyone this is Kareu Roshado please treat him with respect.”

“H-hello everyone… I hope we can all b-be friends...I like too many things too tell all of you… so I’ll just say I like art and reading.” He says

The teacher shows him too his seat in the corner next to the window. The teacher gives a boring lecture the lunch bell rings. On that note he takes out his lunch that he prepared ( as of now he and his sister don’t live together) a few people begin to talk about him as he takes a bite of his food a girl walks up and says “Hello there Eu-Chan welcome to our class! I’m the class representative Mai! Hahahaha!”

“Hello there… Mai” he whispers in reply

“No need to be shy now!~Hahaha!” she boldly states

She takes a seat next to him and says “Can I have some of your food seems you’ve plenty there for two!”

“S-Sure you can have some…” he says with pulling another pair of chopsticks

“Wow you sure are prepared aren’t you expecting too make a new friend so quickly?!” she yells

“Well I… just thought… in case you know?” he says

“WOW!!! This is really good who made it?” She says with her mouth full

“I did… I used to cook before so… I thought I would make lunch plus I live alone so…” he stops talking before he got into detail

“Well you should make lunch for me too sometime then!” she shouts

“is there… a library here?” he questions the pink haired girl Mai

“Of course there is this is a school after all.” she says

“Thank you… would you mind showing me it?” he asks

“Sure on one condition, You have to make me lunch tomorrow!” she states

“Well I g-guess I could but… is t-there a market around so I could buy ingredients?” he whispers

“Well yeah I could show as you’re making me lunch.” she says

“Thank you.” he says

as they finish lunch Mai shows him too the library which is actually not very far from the classroom. In there are a few students who are studying for tests and stuff. While he goes through the libraries fiction section he choses a bunch of books when he returns to the counter where the librarian is he puts the books down while she is speaking with Mai. They both say “Wow you read a lot”

“Well you did say you like to read” Mai comments

“Yeah well I picked it up in the hospital-” after realizing what he said he quickly left saying thanks to Mai and to the librarian. After that he slides back into the classroom and the afternoon lectures begin. After school he was walking home when suddenly hands cover his eyes from behind. The mystery person said “Guess who”

Remembering that voice he said “Mai?”

“Hahaha~ you got me!” as she took her hands from his eyes

“What's up Eu-chan? where are you going?” she asked

“W-well I… I was going home…” he said

“Of course Eu-chan, say how about I come over? seeing you just got here I want too get too know my friend more.” she boldly states

“Well if.. its alright with you… I guess.” he whispers

“Great!!! Hahahaha!!” she shouts

After they continue walking as they reach the outskirts of the city a small tower rises and they reach it. Its a pretty nice place pretty fancy, about 30 floors high. As they reach the top floor there is only one door which would seem un normal because there are apartments on all of the floors which this one has only one door. When they reach the door Mai says “Is this your place Eu-chan?”

“P-please call me… Kareu, and y-yes this is my place.” he responded

As he opens the door a penthouse appears which is really fancy. “Wow…” Mai says impressed

“You live here by yourself? Kareu it is really amazing.” she says

“Yeah… I don't really like to be around people because of…” he says

“Well you can sit down… I’ll go change.” he says

“Okay Kareu hurry back though!” she says with a wide grin

While changing he puts on a long sleeve shirt and wears gloves and a mask like he has all day. when he finishes he gets outside into the living room he spots Mai looking out the window. “Like the view?” he asks

“It is quite something.” she says in awe

“By the way why are you wearing gloves and a mask like you did at school I didn’t think it was allowed?” she questioned

“W-well I have… something… wrong with me.” he states

“Like what, what do you mean if you have facial problems like pimples or something its apart of life. So don’t feel ashamed.” she says reassuring

“Y-you see… (a long pause) I have burns…” he says while taking off his gloves and mask

As Mai is standing there she quickly steps over to him and gives him a hug along with an apology “I’m… I’m sorry Kareu I shouldn’t have taken it lightly…”

“Sshhh, It’s okay you didn’t know” he says as he hugs her tightly

“B (sniffle) But.” she stutters

“I said its fine so how about some dinner?” he says

“Yeah that would be nice.” she says with a grin

After eating dinner and watching t.v. on the 70In. plasma t.v. and playing some board games like chess and life. Mai realizes the time. “Oh shoot! its time for me to go. Seeya Kareu have a good night!” she says

“You too make it home safe and sound!” he says with a grin

On that note she left the room waving bye and left. Kareu has not felt this feeling for a long while but does not realize what kind of feeling it is and he went to sleep. the same few days went by fast Kareu being as shy as ever and wearing his mask and gloves to hide his burns and as always shares a lunch with someone because it it really delicious. But today Mai asked him “Hey Kareu want to go do something later?”

He blushes saying “Uh…?”

“Oh yeah a few of my friends are coming we think karaoke sounds good what about you?”

he sighs in relief and agrees by saying “Sure would love to, It would be a good chance to meet some of your friends to, but i’m not that much of a singer so don’t be surprised if I don’t sing.”

“Perfect!!!” She shouts “We will have tons of fun!”

“I hope so.” one of her friends who is tagging along said

Then class starts same as always with the teacher starting off with some stupid lectures and such. After school tells Mai to meet up at his place as he will need to ready she agrees and they leave school. When he reaches his schools gate he calls someone and then a personal driver shows up and he gets inside. when he reaches the tower he tells the driver to wait and call if he sees some pink haired girl and a bunch of her friends. He nods and waits in the car. When he gets up to his room he takes off his school uniform and puts on some clothes that would suit going out to Karaoke and of course he doesn’t forget his mask and his gloves to cover up his burns. His phone rings and he answers with the driver saying that the girls are here without further adieu he waits in the living room when he hears the doorbell ring he answers the door the girls who are friends of Mai’s stand in awe as he welcomes them in he has tea ready for them. when he sits down realizing in the mirror he is wearing all black which doesn’t bother him while the girls say things like “Amazing” or “All by yourself do you get lonely”. which after the tea is finished he says “ Well if we're going we should right?” the girls quickly nod as they all leave the building he asks “So where is this p-place?”

Mai says “ its going to be a long walk from here but you don’t mind do you guys?”

One of her friends which name kareu thinks is Lola says “This is what happened last time we have to walk really far its too far.”

Before Mai says anything Kareu says “Well if its that far then we can drive there right?”

Mai states “How none of us have driver license more than a car to drive.”

Kareu starts to “Well I do have way (as the girls lean in closer) Driver.”

the man gets out of the car that can hold more than six people “Please get in the car m’ladies.” the driver says calmly. as that happens Kareu asks the name. Mai says its called “The Engraved Point” the driver takes us there in less time it would have taken to walk. We arrive there shortly after we get directions. “It looks like we’re here, you can pullover now driver” Kareu says too the driver.

“Well the ladies as kareu opens the door for the girls too get out of the car. “Kareu, are you rich or something?” says Maci one of Mai’s friends.

“Well I wouldn’t think I am my parents just get paid a lot I guess.” he replies “why do you want to know?”

“Well it seems you were since you have a personal driver and live in such a nice place.” she says

“Well you won’t have too treat me any differently just because I have such luxurious things.” he says

Everyone has sung a song at least twice I haven’t sung once. “Hey Kareu I think you should sing next!” Mai says

“Well I guess I could seeing how you all have just don’t laugh at me when I do sing though.” he replies

As he is going through different songs he switches to english artists and picked a well known song that is pop. As he starts to sing its hard for the girls to hear him then he pauses the song and says “See i’m not so good at singing.”

One of the girls says too move the mask from his face. When he hears this suggestion he replies “I will only if you don’t look at my face.”

The girls seem confused except Mai. Everyone agrees finally. When he removes his mask very weird sounds come out and everyone is very confused. When the song ends he sets down the mic and puts his mask over his mouth and nose. “I told you I can’t sing.” he says depressed

Then Mai suggests “How about we call it night guys we all are really tired.”

“I guess we should I’m tired too everyone.” said Hira

“We can all go back in my car too my place as it seems its saturday night you may call your parents and get their permission to stay the night I have a very good way to end saturday nights!” said Kareu

Everyone seemed pleased as they piled into the car taking them back to Kareu’s penthouse. When they arrive there they each call their families to get the okay to stay at a friends house. “Now that we’re here what would you guys want to drink” Kareu says opening the refridgerator. Full of wine and other alcoholic drinks. He takes out a bunch of wine glasses and places them onto the kitchen table. “Your parents don’t mind you drinking wine? Even at a young age?” Mai says along with another one of her friends

“Not at all they think I’m very mature so they let me” he replies “Although I haven’t had guest or multiple guests to drink with.”

as the girls decide what to drink they ended up playing truth or dare or something like that. And of course the question was asked “Why do you always wear that mask and gloves Kareu.”

With him choking a little on his red wine. He replies “I wear these too… make myself more mysterious.”

One of the girls who is probably drunk says”Why don’t you come with me for a bit and have a good (Hiccup) time?”

“I don’t think having sex at such an early age would be a great idea especially with being able to get you pregnant that would be no good.”

Everyone was shocked to hear this come out of Kareu “Well then I’ll go grab some futons (Japanese beds that are like mattresses that are laid out on the ground) how about that?” he questions

As he gets up he walks too a closet and grabs four futons for the girls too lay on with blankets and pillows of course. Laying them out in the living room when he returns to his room he closes the door behind him getting his pj’s on but suddenly heard a knock at the door with putting on his mask and gloves he answers the door turning out to be Mai. “How can I be of service too you Mai?” He asks

“Well… I don’t like to sleep by myself.” she replies

“You have everyone out there too sleep by though.” he states

“Yeah but I mean in the same bed… and I was wondering-” Mai getting cut off

“I guess I can help out with that, my bed is big enough, Just don’t get any funny Ideas.” Kareu says with wide grin

“Yay! thank you!” as she whispers happily while everyone is out cold

With pillows separating the two he asks “Do you mind if I take of my Mask, gloves, and shirt?”

With her blushing she says “Uh… Okay”

When he takes off his shirt Mai sees all of his burns covering almost his whole back and his whole chest. On that note they both went to bed.
