Lightning Scar

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* Aki’s alarm clock goes off without hesitation.

“Waaaah!” *Thunk* “Ouch… that really hurt, stupid alarm clocks where’s the rooster to wake me up?”

Aki suits up for school and eats her breakfast. While locking her door she meets Rein outside.

“Yo Aki have a good nights sleep?”

“Yeah but not so good morning, I fell out of bed when my alarm clock woke me up.”

“Are you okay Aki?”

“Yeah, no bruises so I’m okay! But I have school so see ya!”

“Bye Aki see you later!”

After leaving her home she walks to school meeting up with Shinka. They walked together to school for the first time.

“Hey Aki, how’re you enjoying the city?”

“How did you know I wasn’t from the city?”

“Well, you are a transfer student so I assumed-”

“Yeah I am new to the city and I like it here!”

“Do your parents like it here?”

“My… my parents… they… aren't alive…”

“Oh sorry! Sorry!”

“You didn't know, it’s okay.”

The two girls got to school but there were policemen roaming around. The girls wondered why police would be here.

“Her! She was with Ina!” a girl told a police man

“Young lady were you with this girl yesterday after school? *Shows picture of Ina* she was found unconscious with a minor heart attack after school yesterday.” The police man asked

“I was… she was bullying me and it looked like lighting was around me and she was on the ground.”

“I see young lady. Is this the first time this has happened?”

“Well a boy in our class flipped my skirt and I felt electricity going into my hand as I slapped him.”

“Thank you for your time.”

Heading to class a few boys whistled to her and girls gave dirty looks. In class they were doing an experiment with water and how electricity flows through it.

“Here are the instructions!” the teacher shouted to the class “First: DO NOT hold the cable while plugging it in. Second: use the rubber to pick up the cable and gently set it into the water. Third: if you do not follow the instructions you will not be participating. Alright class BEGIN!”

As everyone scattered to the lab tables Aki partnered up with one of Ina’s friends. When she plugged in the cable she picked it up with the rubber and tossed it at Aki.

“Hahaha that’s for hurting Ina!”

“Huh?...” the cable wraps around her wrist “What are you- Aaaaaaaaah!!!”

When she gets shocked she absorbs the electricity and all of it in the school. The power went out and she passed out from too much electricity. When she awoke she found herself in the nurses office. Shinka was sitting next to her.

“Ah! you’re finally awake Aki!”

“What happened to me?”

“Miyamae threw the cable at you and now you look like this…”

Shinka hands her a mirror. When she looks into it she wonders who she is looking at. She all of her veins are visible like darkness is running through her, a lightning scar.
