The Shallow Well

The Shallow Well

A Poem by Aerielle Louise

The well where I'd always be
Seems to be lacking its' depth
Shallow it is, as I see
Different from the well I left

Well, Well, Well...
How long have you been waiting?
for waters; you tell
Why are you almost drying?

You are filled with waters before
That you became so deep; very deep
and you kept on wanting more
Even though you're deep; very deep

What happened to the deepest well?
You know, drought was the worst
You become shallow... a shallow well
Perhaps, dying from thirst

Where did the waters go?
Aren't you able to contain?
When will they ever know?
That you... are also in pain.

Cry...Cry, dear well
Cry a river until-
You become deep.. a deep well
Cry. You'll soon heal.

Be filled! Be deep!
So that all may see your worth..
Be filled! Be deep!
Know that- You're a mysterious art.

Oh please,be filled!
I know you have much to tell,
Do not remain a shallow deed
Be deep.... The deepest well!

Most of us hide true face and hide emotion.
"Oh please,be filled!
I know you have much to tell,
Do not remain a shallow deed
Be deep.... The deepest well!"
The above lines. Wonderful and needed. Aerielle, all of us need someone to release to. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
