My Muse

My Muse

A Poem by Aella.lives

Alas! My muse has finally left my side,

Dared to breath down my neck for so long,

Tired, it has seemed,

Of me.

Now gone! I am alone in this skin,

Dared to stare at the blank pages,

By self, by me,

Alone.

Fear not! Life is but a mystery,

Daring to skip along with time,

Dreaming, living,

Unaided.

Hold pain! For my muse is a temperamental creature,

I am but the only one it can house,

This temple, this heart,

Only.

Something I wrote while on writer's block.... is that even possible? Lol. Most of my poetry is a lot deeper and dark. Maybe it was time for something a bit funny.

Very good! I like it when your writing is empty and void like this, it adds another kind of power.

a well penned...existential crisis for a muse! You described the problem so well, dont worry your beautiful style is clearly deepening. Thankyou.

I like this. You do have a classic voice. You touch on something understood by all writers. Well done.
