A Sentence On Derision (You)

A Sentence On Derision (You)

A Poem by Aella.lives

I start a sentence with your name

And soon I’m fixed for more

A pencil filed

Sharp in hand

Sardonically insane

I design creases in my flesh

From a heavy pen

Still, somewhere in this heat

I overlook my place

I stutter on convenience

As soon, because I’m ‘here’

But now ending isn’t possible

Trussed, a sentence with shame

I draw more lines on this paper

A steady, steady breath

Closing now, though never

Vehemently fervent

What a strong derision

(You)

I feel that maybe, just maybe I'm getting my muse back... hopefully.

Thank you! I'll try to get some new stuff up soon. It has sort of been piling... :)
