A Fool's Gesture

A Fool's Gesture

A Poem by Adster

I’d be there when you’re down low,

To hold you when you need it most.

Speak words of selfless honesty,

To still the worry, to calm the sorrow.

I’d be there, I’d be there, even you won’t.

My umbrella over you, when the sky falls,

The jacket from my own back, on yours

When the heavy rain pours, when it pours.

You’ll never asked but I’ll give it all to you,

I hope you never ask. Don’t ever ask.

A world and a half away, too far to walk,

I’d come to you, when you call, when you don’t.

An everlasting shoulder to hold you up,

A lodestone to keep you straight and set.

I’ll give my time to you, before we ever meet.

The money from my pocket, I’d share,

What’s mine is yours, I never mind.

I’d do what ever you really need me to,

So you’re smiling, so you’re smiling.

I wish I could do all this and more.
