Web of LiesA Poem by BrooklynSo the inspiration behind this poem was a little based on the show "Pretty Little Liars". And the second part just came from life.Like strings full of regret and pain, Intertwined by deception and misery, The truth turns black and grime, While the ones we love, Are left confused in the dark, As the lies we tell either big or small, Grow bigger and bigger, Until fate takes its course, And there is nowhere left to run.
Secrets become left untold, Questions become unanswered. Only time can tell, As things come to the surface, And there is always a trail of mystery, Left to be solved by the unknown, And the web of lies, Only thickens with twists and turns, As the road to the truth, Will always end with a lie, And never the answer we wish to know. © 2012 BrooklynAuthor's Note
