Aimless Dreams

The burden of my soul caving inside out 
I’ve never been as hollow as I am now 
Deep inside I would love to shout 
But beckoned by the chains that force me to bow

I’ve lost my reality and all that was me 
I try to scratch and crawl out 
This feeling keeps sinking in

I’ve lost my mind and all that I need 
I try to stick my head out 
Of this feeling that keeps pulling me in

I’m already sinking downtown 
Really thought I’d be up high 
Never realized how low now 
Really thought I’d burn so bright

The ship has crashed and I am lost 
I wander so aimlessly and sad
My life now has been to what cost 
I cry so unfortunately and mad

Depressing? - no ...defining/describing a depression - yes
