Never Said Goodbye

No hard feelings I suppose.

The one I talked to
Is now gone
The one I confided in
Has now left

Was there something you may ask?
I could ask you the same
Can this work in the future?
Presumably no I can assure

The one you trusted in
Me of all beings
Broke this bond between me and you
For the best, it was

Both have a new well for our tears
Both have a new mic to talk into
Happier we both seem now
To bad it couldn't end in better terms

I don't regret doing what I did
Do I feel bad yes I still do
But hey all I wanted to say was,
Goodbye my lost friend..

I'm sure you'll do well.

Goodbyes are heartbreakingly painful, yes. And I must say, you've captured the essence of that pain well here. I like how this one is contemplative and introspective, you know, how the poet is thinking to himself and thinking about the person he's leaving as well because that somehow gives it a good feel. I think the last line wrapped up the whole poem well. Good job :)

Well....I liked the whole notion of the poem.....the choice of words was great......Goodbyes are hard........very hard......n.......this is one thing that i hate the most. My best frn is leaving the country next month.......so I completely understand and so can i feel evrything written in this poem! There is just one thing I would like to say.....maybe the rythm of it all is missing in the poem! That's what i felt but other than that.......I really appreciate your work and i liked it alot!
