Love poetry asking how it is you love me so

 “How?”

How many stars did you count

While looking in my eyes?

How many galaxies swirled ‘round and ‘round my being

As you brushed my hair behind my ear?

You feel me tremble at your touch

You feel me sigh a breath of happiness in your embrace;

And I am here with you, riding on this wave of emotion

Surfing through this atmosphere of feeling.

How many moons did you bring to me

Because you said you would

Just to win my heart and feel my love?

How many nights did you stay awake beside me

Because the reality was better than any dream you could imagine?

You feel me smile from within

You feel me chuckle at our quirks;

Creating more inside jokes each day

Oh how saccharine sweet we’ve remained, even after all these woes.

How many times will you tell me you love me

And how many times will I love you back?

How many kisses is too many

As you pull me close and never look back?

You feel me hug back

You feel me never let go,

‘Cause baby-- You’re all I could hope for

And I wonder how I ever lived without.
