Scenario 1 - Who's back?

this is my submission for Ragan G. contest. This is for scenario 1.

   It had been raining for hours it seemed and the power had just gone out. We finally got all the candles lit and the flashlights working. Me and my husband, James, and our two kids Amy and Allen were playing a title game while me and James were discussing ideas if the storm got worst. Not so long after, a big lightning strike lit up our house. Amy screamed and said she saw a face outside our window. Just to make her calm down and show her no one was out there, we were about to walk outside when we heard a knock. I looked through the peep hole and I saw my brothers face. "I haven't seen you in years!" I said opening the door and giving him an embracing hug. My brother had been gone for a year in Iraq fighting in war. He had been in the army for 5 years now. He missed thanksgiving and Christmas this year. soon we were all catching up on the past time and playing board games until the storm passed.
