Memoirs of Memory

A moment that lights up your eyes
Opening the windows to joy within
A song that makes your heart leap
And the soul keeps dancing to its beat
The aroma as we drink the vastness of the blue roof
Spark of thunder with every sip
Like tales around a bonfire
Words etched in the corners of your life.

We hold the captured memories close to our heart
Savoring the lost conversations
Replaying the broken records
As we fall asleep
Riding deep into the next stop.

The job of the catchers
Collecting memories with the eyes
Storing them for colder days
As a soul food for winter,
Showers for the drought days,
Fuel that keeps us going on
Far away until the time's up
Till the moment we forget.
