The bench

The bench

A Poem by Lee

Under the multicolored sky
Sits the wooden bench
Having endured the rain and shine
Of travellers who came and went.

The cold hearted Winter
Blasting her anger on the panels,
The jovial Summer
Pouring his warmth on the covers,
The happy rain
Chattering day and night
About her conquests.

The wise old September awaits
As the wooden panels of his heart creaks
Awaiting the next traveller,
Awaiting the visit from his old friends
As Seasons come and go,
Leaving memories for the future days.
