Hungry

Hungry

A Story by Adriana
"

Snap snap snap

"

Deep in the woods, they feed on the trees. Snap snap snap, as a chainsaw their teeth. Devour the crown and the roots. Even the dirt and the seeds. The insatiable creatures that feed on the trees.

But now they go hungry, woods turn to highways and trees into houses. Dirt is under cement and seeds are dead. Now they feed on the grass between the pavement.

But don’t be suprised if when there’s no grass, they turn to an alternate sorce of food. Or maybe just snap and go for revenge. And go snap snap snap at our necks.

I wrote some stuff I really like but I can't show them to you because I am gonna participate in competitions :( There was this poem about a woman that's scared of getting old I wrote and it's probably my fav I've written but I can't show it to you aghh. And so enjoy this 100-word short story that was just fun to write but also, we're killing nature and it will kill us

What a fine and inspiring poem, obviously considered very carefully - both your heart and mind working together to make vital points. It's a more than essential to remember how easy to lose what's makes life so important. when it comes to protecting our countryside or those who walk it. If we don't take care rural areas could be nibbled at day by day by day and eventually leave only stone, brick, chimneys - and filth. What and dark thought! A hundred and more thanks for writing such fine words, Adriana!

Well hello Adriana. I hope that you do well in the competitions, I certainly have faith in you. And I hope when they are over you can show us everything you wish. Your story reverberates very strongly with me. I live on the outskirts of Seattle and grew up in a very rural area not far from here. But we have had such huge population growth that those areas have been devoured by development and now that development is extending up into the mountains. We frequently have people out on urban trails being attacked by cougars because we are destroying their environment.
