Sad and lovely at the same time. I've always believed that it is possible to write poetry and songs without having to be cryptic and complex, as you've shown here. There are only a few things I'd change about this, only a few lines, but beyond that you've expressed your emotions successfully, as you set out to do, and you did it well.
