MY LAST WORDS AS A SOLDIERA Poem by DanielTHE LAST WORD OF A YOUNG SOLDIERS LAYING DOWN HIS LAST FOR IS COUNTRY WHEN HE DIE.
GALLANT SOLDIERS
WALKING THROUGH THE THORNS AND ARROWS, COUPLED WITH FEAR WHEN WILL I RETURN HOME, MANY AT THE BEST ARE DEAD, THOUSAND ARE INJURED PERMANENTLY WITH NO HOPE OF GETTING UP. HAPPY TO LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR MY BELOVED COUNTRY, MANY WON'T CARE TO KNOW THE WORTH. THEY SUFFER FOR PEACE TO RESTORE THE NIGHT, TORTURED FOR JOY TO FILL THE DAY, BUT WHEN WILL THE FALLEN HERO'S BE REMEMBERED ? SOUL OF THOSE CRYING IN THE BATTLE FIELD, DRAWING THE LAST BREATH TO ANOTHER WORLD, NO ONE TO BE BLAMED FOR IT, I PUT MY LIFE DOWN THE LINE. I NO LONGER SEE THE FACES I KNOW, ALL HAVE BECOME THE PAST OF THE WAR ONLY THE STRONG STAND TO SEE THE DAY AFTER. HAPPY TO WEAR THE UNIFORM, BUT FIGHTING TO SAVE THE NATION, OUR LIFE BEING AT STAKE, NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER. WE LAY DOWN OUR LIFE FOR OTHERS BENEFIT, WHEN WILL OUR FREEDOM COME ? I AM A SOLDIER FIGHTING FOR MY FAMILY AND MY BELOVED NATION, I AM A SOLDIER WITHSTANDING EVERY SITUATION. I AM A SOLDIER COMING FACE TO FACE WITH DEATH I AM A SOLDIER STANDING LAST TO SEE THE VICTORY AT HAND. WE ARE MOTHERS , FATHERS, SISTERS AND BROTHERS TO EVERYONE, REGARDLESS THE TRIBE OR STATE. THE EMBLEM OF LOVE WE SHARE, CARRYING THE NATION ON OUR SHOULDER, THAT'S THE CODE OF HONOUR. SAY TO OUR MOTHERS WE LOVE THEM WHEN WE'RE NO MORE, SAY TO OUR FATHER WE REMEMBER THEM WHEN WE'RE GONE, OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS WE CARE FOR THEM, AM A SOLDIER READY TO DIE FOR MY BELOVED COUNTRY. AM NOT A COWARD WHO RUN FROM DEATH, I STAND TO FIGHT AND CONQUER FEAR, WHEN I DIE, SAY THE WORLD I FOUGHT TO THE END AM COMING BACK HOME TO REST. © 2017 Daniel |
