Born Black

I am born black,
I am unique regardless my colour,
I am not limited to the success of this world,
I am proud of my colour.

Despite the criticism and oppression,
I won't deny my nationality,
Just to earn a daily living,
I am proud of my colour.

People say our mentality is low and dark,
Just because of the colour,
Proofing them wrong is what am doing,
I am proud of my colour.

They might say we don't have a place to live,
Forgetting God created all living creation.
We all have the same mentality with unique style,
I am proud of my colour.

We speak different language and dress differently,
Our culture are different,
We still live together on the same planet,
I am proud of my colour.

My colour brings out the best in me, same as yours brings out the best in you,
I am proud of my colour.
