The Angel and the Human

The Angel and the Human

A Poem by Adelise Eclair
"

Their love was never.....

"
The Angel and the Human
Forsaken by the light of heaven,
My wings begin to fade.....
they drown me in their sorrow
where roses were once laid
I lie in solitude
yet I yearn not the light....
I speak of gratitude
for the morn of the night....
I reach out to the sky....
I dont ask for salvation.....
For it is but a lie....
Such a tempting sensation....
Here in my heart I know
That one day
he will have to go...
and leave me behind........
for little is the flame of life...
that bears the pain of strife
for little is the love to hold
that compares not to gold....
for such holds no lies
yet bears its own price
I would give my all....
my wings....my life.....
just to have.....
even but a bit of your love...
such is a gift from above......
that day when our eyes both met.....
is a pain that I wont ever regret...
for the gift of meeting you...
is a happiness so true....

The pain that I wont ever regret is like saying I love
you. A beautiful poem loaded with passion and
compassion. Love it.
