I like the idea of the poem, but i feel as though it's angry. And i have a hard time with someone being angry at God, or religion, when being an atheist, how can you be angry at something that you don't believe exists? So I like the idea, i just with that it focused more on the absence of anything divine instead of mocking God.
But other than that, this is a good poem, if flows well and it was an interesting read.
As an Atheist myself, I understand and appreciate this poem, and I thank you for writing it. I try to be PC about it a lot of the time, since I know that my religious views, or lack thereof, are controversial at best, but sometimes, you just have to vent your frustrations.
I especially like: "And if you die in pain, don't worry, you will be rewarded in Heaven." I understand that people need this sentiment in order to escape from the pain too great in their lives, but it seems to me that we can't know for certain if there is a Heaven (to be rewarded with) or a Hell (to punish the people hurting us), all we can know for certain is the life that we have now and all we can do is make this life as much like Heaven as we can for each other.
Thank you for the poem, and also, thank you for the review. I appreciate the compliment.
