Desert rose

Desert rose

A Poem by Adela Muresan
"

a reflection

"

The mask is heavy on the skin.

Are thease demons mine…

or are we just traveling together?

The questions lay dead at the bottom of the

old rusted black fountain of confusion.

My song echoes trough the cold wilderness,

of the night.

I walk on fed by dreams,

in a world of madness.

beautiful imagery Adela
I love the opening line:
"The mask is heavy on the skin."
...this is so true. I think it sets the stage for the rest of the poem too... there's a beautiful depth here an expression of feeling exhausted or burdened, without a sence of self pity.
...and though the poem feels very heavy it doesnt have that feeling of hoplessness.
I love the ending:
"I walk on fed by dreams, in a world of madness."
...beautiful write Adela ;)

You really captured that sense of strangeness about ourselves we all feel sometimes when Truth peeks at us.

Oh lord, these two lines sent shivers down my spine! Your imagery is so beautiful and original, it really is amazing and inspiring! You have crafted and moulded the words into something that echoes with emotion and symbolism.
This poem says so much, and at such a deep complex level.
It's an absolutely enchanting write, thank you ever so much for sharing!

This is stunning!!!!! I love the the lines

"Are thease demons mine
or are we just traveling together?"

It's something I have began to ask myself. This poem does show a lot of depth and has a lot of symbolic images...

I see this visually as a painting by De Chirico perhaps. Exceptionally well written. Full of symbol and surreal.

This was awesome!

"Are these demons mine or are we just traveling together"

That has to be my favorite line. Your work is so intense and dark. I love it.
