Rhyming Games

Rhyming Games

A Chapter by Adam W Redmon

It was a lukewarm, summer day
The clouds were out and
Me and Grandmother were sitting
On the porch

We would sit on this porch
Frequently; Playing games.
Sometimes I would create them
Others would be our little games, They Never changed.

Games such as watching the clouds
Making shapes out of them
In our minds, Such as a lion or a mouse
Or even a lion chasing a mouse

The other one we played
Was a game of rhyming
Some rhymes would be delayed
By the wind chimes chiming.

It was a lukewarm, summer day
The clouds were out and
Me and Grandmother were sitting
On the porch.
