Goodnight and Goodbye

Goodnight and Goodbye

A Poem by Adam
"

truth

"

If you cry I'll cry, If you laugh I'll laugh.

Don't expect me to sleep however when

we say goodnight, and goodbye.

I don't sleep, and I don't stay awake, I

get lost in a sea of thought that is so

ominous I cannot lose consciouness.

I am a lie, for every night I tell myself

I will forget, and  that tonight will be the

night that I lay my weary head to rest.

The best part is though, I don't feel bad.

I still wake, somehow, every morning

without ever haven shut my eyes I wake.

I greatly enjoyed this. I've experienced the same thing night after night and I'm glad that you captured it in such a lovely way.
