The chase

The chase

A Poem by Ind1992
"

I hope almost everyone can relate to this, if not, I take my hat off to you.

"
Like a precautious tornado,
I feel,
Inadequate,
In every sense,
My expectations of life being surpassed by my own apathy,
I reach for a railing,
But I fear it's too late,
Have I left it too long?
Has my life escaped my grasp?
My dreams, no longer for sale,
Out of stock!
I wonder now if this is the wake up call,
Quick grab what I can, I'm ready to begin,
Sadly, in life, there is no stop,
No start,
Only, keep up,
Never quite ahead,
Always in the wake of (insert jealousy)
In the shadow of greatness,
And I chase
Hoping to reach the light.
Never truly believing I will.
