A special wedding

A merry night it was indeed

The entire town was there

They all came in and did proceed

To their places in pairs

 

The hall benighted in roses

A garden of warm love

One perfect magnificent guise

With bless hanging above

 

The young groom in his ecstasy

Was leaping like a loon

Waltzing with the air pleasantly

And gazing at the moon

 

In his neat tie and perfect suit

Was ready for the game

And after a short time of mute

‘I’m ready!’ He declaimed

 

Walking tall as a proud peacock

He marched to his delight

His bosom froze amid the walk

‘I’m marrying tonight!’

 

He walked into the room gleeful

As all stood up and cheered

Children, women and all people

Even old men with beards

 

He took his place upon his throne

Waited for his princess

And a cold chill crept to his bone

When she made a presence

 

May joy be theirs eternally

And joins in their love cruise

You’re all welcome to come and see
