Death is my utmost dreamA Poem by Adam Lebzo -RonninWarrior-My version of the famous poem 'A dream within a dream by Edgar Allan Poe'As all has parted me now, Hopeless, let me avow, You are not wrong, who deem That death is my utmost dream. Hope has wondered astray Into seas with no bay Where dying hopes are undone Where mangled dreams are all gone But is all I see or seem Is but a dream within a dream?
I stand amid the silence Of a world raped by violence, And I
seek with my scorched hands Any love
on these lands- Devoid,
while silently weep As all
sensations drown deep And death,
therefore, does creep O God! Isn’t
there a chance? Out of
this dismal trance. O God! Can you please save? Your
destitute, weeping slave From a
world that so much seems As a
dream within a dream. © 2013 Adam Lebzo -RonninWarrior-Reviews
