Sonnet II – Human ravenA Poem by Adam Lebzo -RonninWarrior-Marking three years since my angel passed awayUpon her bleak grave a raven stood still Before the frigid exanimate tombstone His heart was bitter, nostalgic, and ill In every inch an ever blazing moan It’s been exactly three years since she died But his devoted heart can’t part her trace You could see in his eyes the tears that dried And some dying tinctures of once a grace An old man draws near him and pats his back When the human raven stared back at him “Why the long face?” said the geezer in black The raven said and drew a sigh so grim “I’m dead! For my love has left this domain I am a wraith
death has cursed with pain” © 2013 Adam Lebzo -RonninWarrior-Reviews
