Slowly climbing the distant horizon,
Sunlight overtakes as night becomes day,
Low glowing purples become brilliant reds,
Orange overpowers but I'm feeling sad,

Instead of enjoying today's sunrise
I miss your eyes and that beautiful smile,
Realizing without you nothing's the same,
Can't wait to get home and hold you again!
