EscapeA Poem by CajunPoet
Yellow
Has spilled onto the leaves of trees, Each waiting to be whisked away in the gusts of a winter storm. Though Gold sunlight is shining bright Only the yellow stays behind, It's stain taints the world before me. Memories lost in piles of leaves, I turns way from the shadows, Suddenly my light can be found. Colors overtake the opaque Yellow mask the world tries to wear, Illuminating what remains. © 2014 CajunPoet |
