WhyyyA Poem by CajunPoet
Winter's shadows dance before me,
While the lazy sun starts to set, freezing wind now taking it's grip and fire tries to warm my hands. Still in my mind I see your eyes, Their lifeless stare scaring my mind Reminding me why you're not here, You took your life before it's prime. I had just stopped by to say hey, Then I held you 'til sirens came Your blood seemed so cold on my face, Then suddenly I ran away. Sprinting quickly into the woods Nobody knows I held you there, Later I heard your mother too.. Finding her made you take your life. A huge part of me went with you, slipped away like the setting sun and darkness reigned for quite a time No warmth anywhere to be found. Realizing now the fires out, Shivering alone in the dark, Your memory finally fades, But the scar never goes away... © 2015 CajunPoet |
