Calling

Calling

A Poem by CajunPoet
"

Sunrise

"

Each day traveling on my way to do what I do to get paid,

Often becoming overcome by the beauty of sunrise,

Clouds floating lazily over Lake Pontchartrain today

changing orange then red before the Sun shows up again.

Beams of light so bright each cloud has its own halo

as the sky behind now shines the brightest blue,

I feel it’s my calling to share with you

The beauty of the world through my eyes.

Hoping to create an escape

For each of you from today,

Describing everything

with poetic style,

I’m realizing

it’s what I’m

meant to

do.

Lovely poem. This piece defines intention of sharing. "The beauty... maybe just" beauty" to fit in the shape? Thank you.

You can write so beautifully and it flows effortlessly

An interesting telling of the path to one's true purpose. I like the way you used the visual layout to narrow the reader down to the dénouement of that conclusion, as if carrying them along your own path to that conclusion.
