Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek

A Poem by CajunPoet

Blood seeps from so many wounds unseen,
Alone again at age thirteen,
Never needed to cut my skin
but the pain it bleeds through again,
Wondering if I will escape,
pain inflicted by his mistakes,
hiding in shadows near my bed
Wanting to run away instead,
As I pray, "please don't let me die",
He bursts in as I wonder why...
