MUNDAYne

MUNDAYne

A Poem by CajunPoet

Escaping the shadows of skyscrapers,
Quickly I leave each day and drive straight for
all of the things that help me remain sane...
I hear the distance shadows call my name,
Suddenly their words are just memories
As I realize writing was meant for me.
Sunlight begins to bring my mind to life,
A leaf that flutters past at a stoplight,
is consumed by the shadows of my mind,
But In the end nothing is left but my rhyme.
