Going

Going

A Poem by CajunPoet

Words cannot begin to define,
I search for meaning in the night,
without you light, I dream perchance
but the light never found your face,
so the true you I’ve never known.

I was gone, to never see you,
as if we never met, you turned,
In turning away I released,
you released me, in two pieces
falling like slowly crumbling rock.

Each part its own, started as one,
Could be forever,.. fornever.
strangers that are best of friends,
your love held dear for many years.
It made this man you’ve never seen.

I can’t find me, can I find you,
poetic as my careful words,
with you, eternally, I leave,
a leaf falling hard to the ground,
lost to never be whole again...

I learned, I cannot be without
shreds of hope to again hold you,
It’s what carries me through the days
And I hope brings us together,
Crumbled, broken, but together.
