Silent Candelight

A Poem by CajunPoet
"

Flickering flames reveal brief glimpses of beauty true and pure, my heart races but my breath stops. exploring fingers write their song upon your flesh, the story ending with two entangled souls.

"
Flickering flames reveal brief glimpses of beauty
true and pure, my heart races but my breath stops.
exploring fingers write their song upon your flesh,
the story ending with two entangled souls.

Gentle breaths across the nape your neck,
chills cover the landscape of your quivering body
and further I explore, I consume all that you are,
a piece of my heart is trapped within yours.

The taste, salty and sweet, amazing ecstasy
makes me forget my fears, dropping my guard,
holding you close, I give myself to you,
at this moment you know all that I am.

Hmm I like your romantic style coming from huge fan of romantic poetry I do have some critiques.

There are some slight cliches in this piece and that's common because romantic poets write from the heart! and that is where s**t gets confusing... Try to reach descriptions that you don't always hear on the radio or T.V...

Great use of alliterations, if you are planning on or currently in college or university I strongly recommend a creative writing course that is specialized in poetry,

They may not have that in the states but they do in Canada where I'm from,

Anyways thanks for sharing! I'll be sure to check out your other work!
