Does Your Soul Look the Same?

Does Your Soul Look the Same?

A Poem by Adam Clay

When darkness falls
And the day is night
And the rooms and halls
Wear dim, fading light,
When hidden by walls,
And watching eyes lose sight,
When the dark side calls,
Do you even fight?

Does your soul look the same
On both sides of dawn?
Do you feel shaking shame
When the darkness is gone?
Did your piece in the game
Change from bishop to pawn?
Did your name return fast
When the lights came back on?

Should daylight appear
When midnight should come,
Would your heart in despair
Sound like a drum?
Would dishonour and fear
Render you numb?
Take warning! Prepare!
Revelation will come.
