Mid-Morning Terrorist (Love)

Mid-Morning Terrorist (Love)

A Poem by Adam Greenfield
"

When you know you're in the wrong relationship. Written about a friend of mine's current relationship, though I could be way off. Oh well. Artistic freedom. Get over it. **For a poetry contest here... http://www.writerscafe.org/contests/7233/ **

"

Love-

harbored moments,

unbridled mid-morning terrorists

accentuate underlying stationary monstrosities

revealing capital offenses,

nature’s brilliance.

Shove

into sequence

memories betraying innocence,

contemplating revolution, redirecting complacency

outwardly revealing difference,

instant distance-

Love.

Intense, especially when describing someone elses relationship. But of course, wonderfullu written. I'm sorry it took me so long to find it...

Oh, my. This one line
"instant distance-"

is what kind of cracked it for me----this poem hit me hard, broke right through my shell into the center. I know this relationship. I've been there. I've seen the terrifyingly misleading brilliance, wrong and off color, yet still "real" enough to keep you deceptively warm while you die slowly of blood loss. I've seen it.
But I've never seen it so beautifully as this.
Good job. :)

Thank you for entering the contest. I really like what you are saying in this piece. It's love all wrong, but hey it's still love. That should count for something atleast. This is a really good piece. The rhyme isn't perfect, but it's dang close to it. IGood luck with the contest.
