Holding On

Holding On

A Poem by Adam Greenfield
"

When your head and your heart just can't seem to agree.

"

I will love you forever
but I can’t love you here,
not nearly enough
for what you deserve.

So I’ll wait for you there
where the window
is always open.

Simple, lovely, beautiful. I'm glad to have read it, dispite my taking over a year to get back onto the site.

oh i love this. so simple. so blunt.... and yet so caring at the same time. an awareness of self and one's own limitations, but also an awareness of the future and the vast greatness of possibility, and hope.

i love it, my dear :)
