He Walked away

He Walked away

A Poem by Adalynn

He grabbed her arm,

and felt a cut,

he looked at her ,

with qeustioning

but knowing eye,

he had anger,

yet sadness in them,

she looked down,

and took her arm away,

he said it's hopeless,

and just walked away,

only the sobs and cry,

could be herd,

all else sat quiet and still,

while she wathced him drive away.

When you say 'her' in the third line do you mean 'me'? It's a little confusing but I think I know what you mean. It's sad, the desolation can be felt in this although a little fixing up would make it better.

You began this and THEN changed the "person"... at the end its likely he walked to his car, got in, and drove away - but it really feels incomplete. I liked the reality of the internal hurt... and the feeling of no control.
