It's a Boy Girl Thing

It's a Boy Girl Thing

A Poem by That Black Bat Licorice
"

In reply to: rude-a*s people.

"
Are you a boy
or a girl?

No wait

You're one of those aphrodisiacs.
Isn't that what they're called?
They can self-reproduce, right?
Like...plants
or Doctor Who.

All we want to know is

What's in your pants?
Your genes?

Is it your chromosomes or
did your folks paint your room
the wrong shade of pink?

At least...
I think that's how it happens
But I could be wrong.

Maybe you're just happy
being nothing at all,
Letting life happen around you,
Watching the rise and fall.

Maybe it's not my job
to design labels
and pin them to your clothes,
To wrinkle my nose when you say
you don't want to wear the dress.

You don't want to be depressed.
I hear you,
I wish there was something I could do
to help you.
But I don't like meddling
in other people's lives.
